About this site
This is a small, quiet place for reading notes and occasional short essays. It is written by one person and updated when there is something worth writing down, which is not often.
There are no comments, no newsletter and no analytics. If you want to reach the author, the address is in the footer of the printed edition, which is a joke, because there is no printed edition.
Reading list for long journeys
- Montaigne, Essays (any decent selection)
- Jan Morris, Trieste and the Meaning of Nowhere
- Patrick Leigh Fermor, A Time of Gifts
- Seneca, Letters from a Stoic
